Acquiring documents

You can acquire documents for the Document Center using any device that supports the following outputs: .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .ppt, .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png, .txt, and .rtf. For example, you can import images into the Document Center using devices, such as scanners or digital cameras. You can capture a screen from your monitor or import documents from files stored on your computer. You can also import patient pictures within Dentrix into the Document Center for each patient. You can even use the Microsoft Windows Clipboard to attach any image or text as a document. Scanners do not have to be WIA or TWAIN compliant, and you can designate a folder that you can save images and documents to automatically regardless of the type of device you used to scan the image or document.
